OBJECTIVES

To enable the students to be fluent in the English language both orally and in the written form, and also to increase the confidence level of the students to use the language both locally and internationally.    

RATIONAL

1.    To increase the confidence level of the students when speaking in English

2.    To enable students to express themselves well in the English language when writing essays 

3.    To boost the students’ self-esteem and learn English the fun way using the ICT      

4.    To increase the English results amongst the students.

ACTIVITIES

1.            Public speaking during the school assemblies

2.            DEAR or better known as ‘Drop Everything and Read Program’

3.            NILAM program

4.            NIE program inside the classroom such as scavenger hunt and word search activities

5.            Learn an Idiom and word a week program in the classroom

6.            Dr Cheah  Yin Mee’s essay writing competition

7.            Spell-It-Right competition at zone level

8.            Public speaking competition at zone level

9.            Debate competition at zone level

10.        Spelling Bee competition during English Week

11.        Story Telling Competition during English Week

12.        Talent competition using ICT during PASCA PMR

13.        Drama competition during English week and PASCA PMR

14.        Tongue Twisters and riddles during English week

15.        Word Search and Language games in the classroom during English week
